Confused worker unsure how automatic chain link fencing machine works in factory 15 May 2025

The chain-link fencing machine does all the work of changing the wire into the very strong, interlocked fence mesh. It is the step-by-step process of the machine that does all the work.

1. Put the wire on the payoff stand.

The first thing to do is transfer galvanized or PVC-coated wire coils onto the payoff stand. This operation is straightforward; the payoff stand removes the wire from the coil without tangling and continuously feeds it into the machine.

2. Shaping with a Die

After that, the wire even goes through a die that changes the shape of the wire into the mesh pattern required.

3. Cutting the Wire

The die-wire combination is cut, and the cutting is a precise action that cuts each wire section.

4. Weaving the Wire into Mesh

Then the machine is able to weave the pattern of wires together automatically with the help of the previously cut wires. This is where the diamond-shaped chain-link fence comes into being, the mesh being made from row to row and regaining its strength.

5. Locking the Mesh Ends (Knuckling or Twisting)

To complete the task after the machine reached the required height, two ways were used to fix the mesh ends:

Twisting—The wire ends are twisted together.
Knuckling—The wire ends are bent into loops.

This way, the fence will not fall apart, and there will be no need to worry about sharp edges cutting the user's hands.

6. Rolling the Fence

For the last step, the mesh is rolled by the machine into a nice package with the help of an automatic roller. These rolled materials are then fastened and packaged, and the goods are now prepared for dispatch or warehousing, which will depend on the customer's demand.
